    Elphapex is a young company, although it has already released a fairly successful ASIC miner DG1 for the Scrypt algorithm for mining Litecoin and Dogecoin cryptocurrencies. Now, based on the same ASIC chips, the company has presented a home version of this ASIC called DG Home 1. A distinctive feature of the home version is its stylish design and quiet operation, for which DG Home 1 uses water cooling. The efficiency of a home ASIC is the same as that of its older brother at 0.31 J/MH, but the ASIC’s power has been reduced by almost 6 times to 2000MH, instead of 11000MH for the DG1.

  • The very first test where the new product was tested was the completely synthetic AIDA 64 benchmark, so these results cannot be directly taken into account as future superiority in games and mining. However, the gain that the new product from AMD achieved in this test is simply magnificent. AMD Ryzen 9 9950X is almost twice as fast as Ryzen 9 7950X! Let us recall that according to official data from AMD, the IPC increase in the new ZEN5 architecture increased by an average of 16% compared to ZEN4.

So for the S21 XP this figure is 13.5 J/TH, and for the S21 XP Hydro it is 12 J/TH, which makes it currently the most energy-efficient ASIC for Bitcoin mining.

The hashrate of the new product is promised to be 12500MH/s with a power consumption of 2300W, which corresponds to an energy efficiency of 0.18W/MH. In addition to the standard version, a home version with reduced performance but with reduced noise is also offered. This model is called EZ100-C, with a hashrate of 3200Mh/s and 570W. And what is noteworthy is that the energy efficiency of the EZ100-C is the same as that of its older brother 0.18W/MH.
