Starting October 1, 2024, the popular non-custodial wallet Tonkeeper will add support for paying fees with the Hamster token HMSTR. This will be possible thanks to the Battery function, the charges of which can be used to pay fees within the TON network, and this "battery" can be charged using various tokens or even through the AppStore and Google Play. At the moment, charging is available for USDT, NOT and TON. According to Tonkeeper's Chief Strategy Officer Daniel Cowry, the Battery function is a system abstracted from the user interface that allows them to send transactions. "When users are given HMSTR tokens, for example, and they do not have Toncoin as a fee for the transaction, then Battery is the perfect solution to this problem."
