asic scrypt antminer l9

In May 2024, Bitmain promises to commence sales of the next-generation Antminer L9 ASIC miners for the Scrypt algorithm. The specified algorithm supports the mining of various cryptocurrencies, including Litecoin, Doge, DigiByte, WorldCoin, Verge, NetCoin, NovaCoin, Bitconnect, and others. However, the most popular application is dual mining of Doge and Litecoin.

Compared to its predecessor, the Antminer L7, the new Antminer L9 boasts improved energy efficiency, reducing from 0.36 W/Mh to 0.21 W/MH. Consequently, the same thermal package now yields 17.6 GH/s, compared to the 9.5 GH/s of the previous L7 model.

Technical specifications of the Bitmain Antminer L9:

Algorithm: Scrypt

Hash Rate: 17.6 Gh/s

TDP: 3260W

Cooling: Air-cooled

Noise: 75dB

Dimensions: 195x290x379

Weight:

Sales Start: May 2024

Considering that even after 3 years, the Antminer L7 is retailing for $5000 USD, the cost of the new model will undoubtedly be higher, likely exceeding the $6500 USD mentioned in some sources.

Rumors about the release of the L9 have been circulating for quite some time, as enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting this model since the fall of 2023. With the announcement on Bitmain's official Twitter channel, the wait is almost over.
