At the beginning of June 2024, Bitmain promises to begin sales of the next generation of ASIC miners Antminer L9 for the Scrypt algorithm. The following cryptocurrencies can be mined using the specified algorithm: Litecoin, Doge, DigiByte, WorldCoin. However, the most popular application is dual mining of Doge and Litecoin.
Compared to its predecessor, the Antminer L7, the new Antminer L9 boasts improved energy efficiency, reducing from 0.36 W/Mh to 0.21 W/MH. Consequently, the same thermal package now yields 17.6 GH/s, compared to the 9.5 GH/s of the previous L7 model.
