At the ISSCC 2022 conference, Intel is planning to present its own Bitcoin mining chip called Bonanza Mine. Intel representatives are scheduled to speak at 7:00 AM PST on February 23, and the full title of the presentation is "Bonanza Mine: An Ultra-Low-Voltage Energy-Efficient Bitcoin Mining ASIC". Intel made the first statements on work on cryptocurrency mining devices back in 2018, when the patent "Optimized SHA-256 datapath for energy-efficient high-performance Bitcoin mining" was registered.
At the moment, it is not known whether it will be an independent device or only chip production for partners, but since apart from the speech of technical experts, video presentation is also planned (DS1 tag in the ISSCC presentations program), then we can expect that ASIC miner from Intel is already close to the final stage of readiness and during the year a new and serious competitor to the current market leader Bitmain will appear on the mining equipment market.
Also in one of his latest interviews Raja Koduri (Exclusive Intel Arc GPU Interview ft. DrLupo and Raja Koduri | Intel Gaming 28:20), also mentions that Intel company works in this direction, which further confirms the release of Asic miners from Intel.
