The Xelis cryptocurrency, according to its Roadmap, must switch to a new POW mining algorithm, which will be called Xelhash v2. As before, POW mining will focus primarily on mining on processors and video cards, i.e. Xelhash will be resistant to ASIC mining. The first tests of processors based on the Xelhash V2 algorithm have already appeared online. It is not yet known how successfully the new algorithm will be able to resist mining on ASICs.
CPU (processor) hashrate using the XelHash V2 algorithm
Ryzen 3600 - 5,9 KH/s
Ryzen 3700X - 7,8KH/s
Ryzen 3900X - 11KH/s
Ryzen 5900X - 13,8KH/s
Ryzen 5950X - 16,9KH/s
Ryzen 7700 - 12,5KH/s
Ryzen 7800X3D - 11,5KH/s
Ryzen 7900X - 18,4KH/s
Ryzen 7950X - 24KH/s
AMD EPYC 9554 - 63KH/s
AMD EPYC 7B12 - 90KH/s
APPLE M2 PRO - 3,4KH/s
XEON 2680v4 - 7,5KH/s
XEON 2683V4 - 7,6KH/s
XEON 2670V3 - 5,8KH/s
XEON 2660V3 - 6,4KH/s
As can be seen from the test, AMD processors have an advantage in mining on Xelhash v2
It is not yet known what hashrate video cards based on the Xelhash v2 algorithm will have.
