In 2020, as before, new cryptocurrencies with "revolutionary" mining algorithms for the GPU continue to enter the market, but like in previous years, the leader remains the Ethereum cryptocurrency mining algorithm - Dagger Hashimoto or simply ETHash. Mining algorithms based on Equihash, MTP, RandomX are also very popular. Of the new algorithms that have appeared over the past year and have gained popularity, it is worth noting variations of Cuckoo, BeamHash and ProgPow. These are the cryptocurrencies GRIN, MWC, SWAP, Beam, Sero, BCI. The remaining new and revolutionary cryptocurrencies could not interest miners in the long term.
Because Over the past 2019, many new models of video cards were released, and developers of miners and third-party software continued to improve the code of their products, increasing the hashrate for the long-known mining algorithms. Therefore, this material will be useful not only for beginners, but also for experienced miners, who for some reason did not carefully monitor the development of mining on the GPU.
Compared to the previous review on the Actual Hashrate of Video Cards for 2019, we completely removed the X16, X17 algorithms. X22 (FPGA miners switch very quickly for these algorithms). The mining algorithm for the Monero cryptocurrency switched from CryptonightR to RandomX, which is not beneficial for the GPU, because CPU performance on this algorithm is 15 times higher than on the GPU. Added GRIN31 and GRIN32 algorithms.
As a result, we left only those mining algorithms on the GPU that in the long term remained profitable for mining.

For AMD graphics cards, it is worth noting the spread of the ability to edit memory timings for AMD Vega graphics cards, which positively affected their hashrate on the Ethash algorithm.
It is also worth knowing that all video cards with 4Gb video memory (RX470, RX480, RX570, RX580) will leave Ethereum mining in 2020 due to an increase in the size of the DAG file.

With an increase in the DAG file on the ETHash mining algorithm, a gradual decrease in the hashrate of NVIDIA graphics cards is observed due to insufficient GPU power. Therefore, in 2020, for Nvidia video cards, it is necessary to raise the frequency of work not only of memory, but also of the GPU.
Available software for mining on Nvidia video cards:
Ethash: Claymore`s Dual mining, Ethermine, Pheonix miner, Bminer
CryptonightR: CryptoDredge, XMRIG-Nvidia, XMR Stack,
